View Photo Gallery: Click to view Gallery An evening of street photography with the Ricoh GR III turned out successful in regards to finding some new light, and the softer effect of the sun in an evening setting. I again walk the streets of downtown Indianapolis in search of street photos highlighting both the sun, and the people on the street on a summer evening. Snap Focus mode on the Ricoh GR III is the way I roll at the moment! Shooting in RAW and editing/cropped in Lightroom, using three different process methods, including adjusting basic color images, black and white, and my custom-made Moody Green preset.

View Photo Gallery: Click to view Gallery Independence Day 2020 was dampened by lockdown restrictions and a ban on public gatherings for fireworks displays, so that naturally kept most people out of Indianapolis on this Saturday. Fortunately there were enough folks out, including a guy trying to sell me a Leica, on payments, and a very patriotic moment with some armed forces members, that I was still able to come away with a video full of photos from my Ricoh GR III. In this video I spend way too much time talking about the many reasons I love my Ricoh GR III, and why I would buy this camera again in 2020! Snap Focus mode for the Ricoh GR III is also discussed and explained. I've owned the Ricoh GR III for three months and have had the opportunity to use it in many different situations from landscapes, long-exposures and, what it's made for, street photography. The Ricoh GR III is one of the best cameras available in 2020 for street photography. I discuss how the features offered by the Ricoh GR III are incorporated into my street photography, including tips, techniques and tricks to get some great results from this compact, but powerful camera. |
